5… 4… 3… 2… 1… BLAST OFF into fun adventures at your library this summer starting June 24!

The theme for the annual Summer Reading Program is A Universe of Stories and each location in the Burlington County Library System is hosting themed events all summer long. Everyone knows books can take you places and this summer we are going to explore the final frontier.

Summer Reading promotes a love of reading for kids and teens. Encouragement and incentives to help kids stay on track with their summer reading goals and strengthen reading skills during the summer break from school. Prizes can be earned by reading and participating in activities to get kids and teens out in their communities and trying new things!

Pre-register for the program on Beanstack, our online reading tracker, by logging into your account or creating one either online or with Beanstack’s mobile app available for free through the App Store or Google Play. The mobile app features a barcode scanner to easily log books for all readers in the family on an account! Books logged between June 24-August 17 will count toward earning prizes and reaching reading goals!

This year, we're challenging kids to read and log a total of 50,000 books on Beanstack between June 24-August 17. If the goal is met, library staff at our branches will host special events in August to get PIE’d! Are you up to the challenge?

Start your summer reading journey to outer space with these fun stories to expand your universe:
