Family History Day
Join us for a Family History Day at the library! There will be several presentations along with activity stations. You can select the presentations and activities you would like to attend. Some events will require registration and others may not. Please see information below.
Registration is not required for the following presentations which will take place in our Auditorium:
- Finding Female Ancestors: 11 am–12 pm, presented by Laura Cubbage-Draper from LCD Genealogy Services.
- Getting Started in Genealogy: 12:30–1:30 pm, presented by Beverly Yackel from the Monmouth County Genealogy Society.
- Navigating Family History for African-Americans: 2–3 pm, presented by Charles Lindsay.
Registration is required for the following activities:
- Digitizing Documents and Photographs: 11 am–3 pm. Please see open time slots here.
- Recording Your Family History: 11 am–3 pm. Please see open time slots here.
Other family friendly happenings in the library are as follows:
- The Story of Rosie the Riveter: 11am, presented by Trish Chambers from Trish Chambers Productions.
- Family and Folks From Around the World: 1:30pm, presented by Michelle Washington Wilson.
