Tumblebooks: ebooks for Kids

| Burlington County Library

Did you know you can use your computer, tablet, or mobile phone to stream animated, talking picture books at the click of a button? TumbleBooks teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love, and they’re available on the BCLS website.

TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic story you can read, or have read to you. There are over 1,000 animated, talking picture books available, including read-along chapter books, non-fiction books, and books in Spanish and French. The site also has exciting games and puzzles! Graphic Novels are hugely popular, with text highlighting along with audio narration. Math Stories increase math skills while reading stories which help you learn to count, add, subtract and more! Watch videos by National Geographic which support Core Curriculum Standards, covering subjects such as history, geography, social studies and science, to name just a few!

Remember, all you need is an Internet connection and your library card. There are no downloads - books are streamed right to your device - so why not check them out?
