Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Riordan has an amazing style of writing. He is able to create a beautiful narrative and tie together the modern world with Greek mythology and the trials of the protagonists. If you have not read this, you are missing out.

A Night Divided by
Jennifer A. Nielsen

Have you ever wondered what it was like to live in Soviet-occupied East Berlin during the Cold War? A Night Divided is one of the best historical fiction novels I've ever read. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen to Gerta and her family and whether they'd all be reunited. If you are interested in the Cold War, this is great depiction of that era.

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller was an amazing book that was written beautifully. The author took the classic greek mythology tales and turned it into a whole new story and excellent narrative. The characters were described very well and the book is a must-read for people who like greek mythology.
