Get ready to embark on an adventure with BCLS this summer! Our annual Summer Reading program for kids, teens and adults kicks off Monday, June 17 and this year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library: La Aventura comienza en tu biblioteca.” We can’t wait to go on an adventure with you while reading books, writing books reviews, and completing activities as you earn digital badges on Beanstack, our reading tracker.

To join the fun, simply log into your existing account or create one either online or with Beanstack’s mobile app available for free and compatible with Apple and Android devices. The mobile app is perfect for families with its barcode scanner to easily log books for all readers linked to an account!

In addition to our annual program, BCLS is celebrating Smokey the Bear’s 80th birthday with special activities! Learn how to prevent wildfires and help the environment by taking Smokey’s Pledge, and earn extra digital badges on Beanstack.

Both programs run from June 17 to Aug. 10. Anything logged during those eight weeks will count toward your reading goal. Take a trip to your local library or browse our events online to see the activities lined up for you all summer long!
