Parenting and Paperbacks

Want to chat with other parents about the parenting book you just read? Are you looking for a place to discuss the joys and difficulties of raising kids? Join us for Parenting and Paperbacks!

We will be talking about a specific topic, and you are invited to read a book (or two) and come ready to add to the conversation. If you don't have the opportunity to read a book, come for the discussion anyway! For this meeting, we'll be talking about relationships: siblings, partners, and parents/in-laws.

Books on these topics include Understanding Sibling Rivalry; The Sibling Effect; Siblings Without Rivalry; Blend: The Secret to Co-Parenting; One and Only: The Freedom of Having an Only Child, and the Joy of Being One; The Future of Your Only Child; Fair Play; I Didn’t Sign Up for This; How Not to Hate Your Husband After Kids; The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read; Camp Grandma; Unconditional Love: A Guide to Navigating the Joys and Challenges of Being a Grandparent Today; Grandmothering: Building Strong Ties with Every Generation; Toxic In-Laws; and Walking on Eggshells: Navigating the Delicate Relationship Between Adult Children and Their Parents.

We welcome kids to come along with their grownups. We'll lay out some toys, but you are responsible for your child while in the library.
