BURLINGTON COUNTY LIBRARY PRESENTS “ALEXANDER HAMILTON” EXHIBIT
Traveling Photo-panel Exhibit on Display April 4 - May 6 in Westampton
Plan a visit to the Burlington County Library in Westampton to view “Alexander Hamilton: The Man Who Made Modern America,” a freestanding photo-panel exhibit that will be on display April 4 through May 6.
Developed by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the New York Historical Society, and the American Library Association, the exhibit is composed of seven freestanding sections that will be on display in the library’s adult services area. It is based on the New York Historical Society’s exhibition commemorating the 200th anniversary of Hamilton’s death and the 200th anniversary of the opening of the Society in 1804.
Using reproductions from the Gilder Lehrman Collection and the Library of the New York Historical Society, and drawing on recent scholarship about Alexander Hamilton, the display examines Hamilton’s central role during the Revolutionary War and Founding period in creating the economic, constitutional, social, journalistic, political, and foreign policy templates for modern America.
The Gilder Lehrman Institute offers traveling panel exhibitions for display at schools, libraries, and other sites nationwide. www.gilderlehrman.org
The Burlington County Library is located at 5 Pioneer Boulevard off Woodlane Road in Westampton. For more information, call (609) 267-9660 or go to www.bcls.lib.nj.us
