NJ Boating Safety Certification

The Cinnaminson Branch of the Burlington County Library System teams up with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary to offer a Boating Safety course. All power boaters and personal watercraft operators are required to have a NJ State Police issued boating safety certificate on board while underway on NJ waterways.

This 8 hour course provides the “must know” on boating and personal watercraft topics such as:

  • Things to know before leaving the dock - Trailering
  • Basic navigation - Legal requirements – Federal and State
  • Required equipment - Boating emergencies

These courses are approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and include lectures, student workbook, handouts and testing to meet NJ State requirements. Upon successfully completing the course the US Coast Guard Auxiliary will process the required NJ State Police paperwork on your behalf. A temporary certificate is awarded at the completion of the course and the permanent
certificate mailed when processed by the State of NJ.

Please note: You must attend both classes (4/27 & 4/28) and pay the fee to receive the certificate.

Mention “Burlington County Library System” when registering and receive a 20% discount on the $65.00 course fee.
