If you’re a Potterhead like many of us here at the library, winter break conjures up dreams of one thing: the Triwizard Tournament’s famous Yule Ball. We wish we could be in the Great Hall to see it decked out in icicles, listening to the Weird Sisters as they put on an awesome show, and watching the Triwizard champions dancing the first dance with their partners. Sadly, we’re still waiting for our Hogwarts letters to arrive. So, while we wait we’ve decided that this year we’ll throw our own version of Hogwarts’ Yule Ball, and teens ages 13 to 18 also waiting on their acceptance letters are cordially invited to join us.

Taking place at four different BCLS locations (Bordentown, Evesham, Pemberton and Pinelands) during winter break, our Winter Wizarding Ball will feature crafts, including wand and potion making, games such as table top Quidditch, music, dancing and more. Attendees are encouraged to dress up and show off their house pride in front of our magical green screen with their classmates.

Since craft supplies are limited, registration is either requested or required for each event; please visit the event listings on our online calendar for more information. One thing’s for certain, yule have a ball at the library!
