2018 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee David Steinberg Visits the Pinelands Library
"My Enemy in the Mirror: Finding Peace in an Unpeaceful World"

Nobel Peace Prize nominee David Steinberg, author of the poem “My Enemy in the Mirror," will visit the Pinelands Library on Thursday, Sept. 27 to discuss his work.

Steinberg was nominated for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize by the International Writers and Artists Association. His 2014 poem was translated into Arabic and published in the magazine “28” in Gaza, earning him the distinction of being both the first Jewish poet and first American to be afforded the honor.

Join Steinberg at the library on Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. when he will discuss his work and how seeing within ourselves, “looking at the enemy in the mirror,” can not only help bridge conflict between bitter enemies raised upon generations of hatred, but differences we have in our everyday lives and interactions.

The Pinelands Library is located at 39 Allen Avenue in Medford. Registration for "My Enemy in the Mirror: Finding Peace in an Unpeaceful World" is requested. To register, please visit
