Kids Can Explore Our Read-Along Books

| Burlington County Library

Read-along books are equipped with an audio box that will read aloud to children while they follow along. Some books are enhanced with music and noises. Each book uses a distinctive sound that lets the reader know when it's time to turn the page.

A current VOX brand read-along favorite is Monster Truck that revs an engine when it's time to turn the page. The collection of VOX Books offers fiction titles such as That is Not a Good Idea! by Mo Willems and nonfiction titles like Giant Pandas by Kari Schuetz.

We are adding the Wonderbook brand of read-along books, which include favorites such as Little Blue Truck, Duck on a Bike, How Do Dinosaurs Go to School? and many more.

Read-along books are easy to use. The slim audio box in the front of the book has control buttons that allow you to play, pause, stop, and adjust volume. Readers can listen with the speaker or use headphones. Wonderbook includes a Learning Mode that features fun narrator-led questions to encourage a discussion about the book that was just read.

Read-along books can be checked out for four weeks and renewed if not on hold for another customer. Try browsing the Read-along collection at Burlington County Library, Bordentown, Cinnaminson, EveshamMaple ShadePembertonPinelands and Riverton locations to find your next favorite story.

You can also search the catalog from home and have books sent to any of our locations for pick up. By doing a keyword search in our catalog for VOX books or Wonderbooks, search by Genre you will receive a list of all audio box equipped read-along books.
