Fraser the Forest Ranger stands on lookout tower

Chalk the Storywalk!

| Burlington County Library

The whole family is invited to this special summertime Chalk the StoryWalk® event that runs until 4 pm and is sponsored by the Friends of the Burlington County Library, Inc. and the Burlington County Division of Parks.

During the program, we will be debuting our new featured StoryWalk® book about Fraser the Forest Ranger who’s on a mission to find one true friend. This heartwarming debut by Matthew Schufman features bold and expressive illustrations that kids will love as they stroll or skip along the amphitheater walkway adjacent to the library. A permanent library installation, StoryWalk® features a vividly illustrated book, deconstructed and displayed page by page along the path, and new titles are introduced periodically to promote physical activity, early literacy and family time together.

Be sure to join us on June 19 for the launch of our newest StoryWalk® book, and don’t forget to take some time to showcase your artistic skills while you’re enjoying the great outdoors. Everyone is invited to use sidewalk chalk to create colorful artwork on the pavement for all to admire as they stroll along the path. At the end of the walk, pick up your forest ranger-themed, grab-and-go craft to enjoy (while supplies last).

Chalk the StoryWalk® is part of the BCLS 2024 Summer Reading program and registration is not required.
