In the interest of limiting the spread of COVID-19 within our communities:

• All in-person events and space rentals are cancelled.
• Maple Shade Municipal Complex will close to the public on January 12, 2021. Maple Shade Library will continue to offer limited services including Curbside Pickup and computer use by appointment.
• Customers entering our buildings are required wear masks at all times and practice social distancing.
• Visitors are also encouraged to wash their hands frequently with soap and water, and limit their time with us as a courtesy to others.
• Plexiglass has been installed at the circulation desks and hand sanitation stations are available.
• We are not accepting donations at any library location.
• The Musuem Pass Program and Notary Service is unavailable at this time.
• The library's Curbside Pickup service will remain in place for those who prefer not to come inside.
• BCLS cards that were active (not expired) prior to March 2020 have been extended to March 31, 2021. Patrons may visit any branch with a current ID to update their card/registration for a full year.

Here is what we're doing to keep you safe:

• We are working with and getting guidance from the Burlington County Health Department, Centers for Disease Control alongside other county, state and government agencies to plan and keep our customers informed.
• All materials returned will be quarantined for four days before being checked-in, therefore customer records may take up to six days to be updated.
• BCLS staff must undergo temperature checks prior to arriving for work each day.
• BCLS staff must wear masks at all times when handling library materials.
• High-touch surfaces and work areas will be cleaned and sanitized between staff shifts.
• Frequent handwashing with soap and water is also required of staff throughout the day.

We encourage customers to engage with us virtually through our website which provides access to online resources, streaming movies, ebooks and audio ebooks 24/7.
