You already know library cards are awesome, but did you know September is Library Card Sign-up Month? As children everywhere head back to class, the American Library Association and libraries across the country want to remind parents about the most important school supply of all!

Having a library card is like having a ticket to a vast array of services, materials and technology you can tuck in a backpack. While library cards may be especially valuable during the school year, they can be used any time and every member of the household can have one as long as they live in the Burlington County.

Don’t have a library card? No problem.

Stop by one of our convenient locations and leave with your very own card today, or fill out our online form and start using the online-library immediately. And here’s a cool back-to-school tip - teachers and media specialists employed in Burlington County are also welcome to apply.

Each cardholder can check out up to 35 items, including books, movies, music, and more! Once you have a card, even checked-out items are within your reach. Simply place a hold on any item and when it gets returned, we'll reserve it just for you. With our Interlibrary Loan service, you can even request items we don't own; we’ll scour the shelves of other libraries to find just what you're looking for.

Explore our online calendar for an eclectic mix of events throughout Burlington County. Every year, our libraries provide thousands of opportunities for all ages to get out and experience something new, fun and exciting.

Too busy to visit the library? Once you activate your card, we've got you covered on the digital front as well with our vast collection of ebooks, audio ebooks and streaming videos, and online resources, like and Rosetta Stone.

Remember, libraries play an important role in the education and development of children, so join the celebration and sign up for your library card today!
