Browse for Bargains at the Burlington County Library Nov. 29 to Dec. 2

It’s time to stock up on books and movies for the long winter ahead and the Friends of the Burlington County Library are ready to help with another used books and media sale set for Nov. 29 to Dec. 2 at the library in Westampton.

Stop by the meeting room to browse through thousands of gently used items at the Friends’ final sale of the year. Once again, the majority of items that will be available have not been offered at previous library sales. Look for a wide selection of hardbacks, paperbacks, and children’s books, as well as DVDs, CDs, and more.

Shop for bargains on:

• Thursday, Nov. 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Friday, Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday, Dec. 2 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition, a preview sale offered to Friends members only will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Become a Friends member at the door for $15 per person, $20 per family, or $10 per senior or senior family.)

Organized by category, most of the books cost just 50 cents to $1 each and were not available at previous Friends’ sales. Look for a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction titles, including many children’s books. Explore books about history, science fiction, crafts, cooking, business, hobbies, biographies, music, self-help, art, travel, religion, science, technology and more. In addition, there will be a nice selection of specially priced coffee table, art, and oversized books for sale.

The Friends also recently accepted a large donation of DVD movies as well as music CDs, which will cost just $1 each. There will also be a limited selection of individually priced vintage LP and 78 records and boxed sets available at bargain prices.

Don’t forget to purchase a Friends logo tote bag for just $10 to carry your treasures home, and as a bonus, each bag comes with a $2 discount toward all sale books and media items.

If you’re one of the first 300 shoppers to purchase items, you will receive a $1 coupon that may be used at any upcoming Friends sale, including the next one scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 24.

All proceeds benefit Burlington County Library programming, such as the children’s Summer Reading Program and the Museum Pass Program.
The Burlington County Library is located on Pioneer Boulevard off Woodlane Road in Westampton. For more information, call (609) 267-9660 or visit
