Shop for Bargains May 1-4 at Library Headquarters


Friends of the Burlington County Library, Inc. will host a used book sale for bargain hunters ready to stock up on their summer reading on Thursday, May 1 through Sunday, May 4 at library headquarters in Westampton.

A preview event for Friends members only will be held on Thursday, May 1 from 4 to 6 p.m., and the public will be invited to shop that day from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The public will also be able to pick up some bargains on Friday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 4 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Shoppers will find a wide selection of used books for sale, including children’s books, paperback fiction, and a nice assortment of hardcover books focusing on various topics, such as religion, history, animals, travel, politics, medicine, biographies, entertainment, self-help, cooking, hobbies, crafts, and more. Most books will be priced at 50 cents to $1 each.
In addition, there will be a variety of CDs for $1 each, books on CD for $1 per disc (up to $5 maximum for an entire book), DVDs and CD-ROMs for $2 each, crossword puzzles for $2 each, as well as specially-priced oversized art and coffee table books.

The book sale will take place in the meeting room of library headquarters located on Pioneer Boulevard off Woodlane Road in Westampton.  Additional book sales will be held in September and November and all proceeds benefit the Burlington County
