Don your favorite cosplay and head to the Burlington County Library on Saturday, August 4 for the Fourth Annual Fandom Fest, a celebration of comics, pop culture and more! Geared for teens and adults, the annual festival will run from 11am to 4pm and admission is free. Once again, visitors are encouraged to show off their cosplay enthusiasm by dressing as their favorite characters, and the popular Fandom Fest Cosplay Parade will kick off at 3pm. (Dress rehearsal begins at 2:30pm)

Presented by BCLS and the Friends of the Burlington County Library, Fandom Fest is always a popular library event and throughout the day, visitors will find a full schedule of fandom fun. Guest speakers will include Dokudel, a local cosplay artist and voice actor known for her obscure and old school costumes; Amber Love, a podcaster, model and comics writer; Philip McNulty, animator, illustrator and comic book geek; and Ryan Brady of Camden’s Comics who creates and publishes his own independent comic titles. There will also be appearances by the crew of the USS Challenger, a Star Trek fan group and members of the 501st Legion, an international group of Star Wars fans.

In addition, the Friends of the Library will host a special books/media sale from 10:30am to 4:30pm featuring science fiction and fantasy titles, with prices starting at just $1 per item.

Other 2018 Fandom Fest attractions will include:

  • 11am - Fandom Jeopardy
