Marketing the Movement: How Women Won the Vote

Learn how New Jersey women used branding, publicity, new technology, and political protest to win the right to vote! To celebrate the 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote in 1920, Alice Paul Institute created a dynamic traveling pop-up exhibition for businesses, organizations, and schools to host at their site. The exhibit features six banners that tell the story of how New Jersey suffragists employed emerging technologies and developed innovative marketing tactics to bring visibility to the fight for women’s suffrage.
