ASL: Essential Sign Language for Emergency — Part 1 (Virtual)

In the event of an emergency, you most likely have a smooth procedure for safety or evacuation. Everyone understands where to go and what to do. However, what if there is an individual who is deaf or hard of hearing in the area? What if they don't know what's going on and they are scared? Thanks to Signing Basics, you will learn how to communicate with them through sign language in these critical moments. It could mean the difference between safety and danger. Knowing the basic skills taught in this workshop could quickly reduce the stress of communication in escalated situations.

Registration is required. Due to the number of limited seats, please cancel your registration if you can no longer attend. This event will be hosted live on Zoom. (Please note turning on your camera is highly encouraged due to the visual nature of this class.)
