ASL: Basics for Beginners – Part 1 (Virtual)

This 4-week course teaches the basics of American Sign Language (ASL). It is presented by a sign language instructor from Signing Basics. No prior experience is needed. All are welcome!

You’ll learn:

  • The ASL manual alphabet
  • Greetings
  • Days of the week
  • Foods and snacks
  • ASL negations and affirmations
  • Basic ASL sentence structures, which can be used to bring together the signs learned in class

Registration is required. Registering for the first class will sign you up for all 4 classes. Class dates include Dec. 8, 15, 22 and 29. You should be prepared to attend this 4-week class in its entirety. Due to the number of limited seats, please cancel your registration if you can no longer attend. This event will be hosted live on Zoom. (Please note turning on your camera is highly encouraged due to the visual nature of this class.)

ASL: Basics for Beginners – Part 2 will be offered beginning January 5, 2022. It will be 4-week course that expands upon what you learned in Part 1. Learn more and register here. Contact with any questions.
