Page Turners Book Club
This month's book selection is Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt.
The quaint southern city of Savannah, Georgia had been shaken for years following the shooting of Danny Hansford, and the lengthy trials of Jim Williams, the prominent antiques dealer accused of killing him. This non-fiction work reads more like a novel, as you follow a first-person retelling of the true-crime story--with little bits and pieces of embellishment--that uncovers the relationships and rivalries involved in the case, and what really happened on that fateful day.
Our book selections cover all genres and take member input into consideration. During each six month period, we discuss at least one nonfiction book and one classic book. We engage in a guided discussion of the book, using questions provided by a librarian. This book club is best suited for adults, but all are welcome to join.
