We’ve been planning this party for a century and you’re on the guest list! Please join us this fall when we celebrate 100 fabulous years of BCLS history - and look forward to 100 more - with a variety of special anniversary programs and events scheduled throughout the system.

In honor of our centennial, each branch will mark this important milestone with special programs for both children and adults, many with themes linked to 1921, the year the library first opened its doors. Look for special story times, lectures and more.

Kids ages 2 to 6 are invited to celebrate our 100th birthday on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 11:30 a.m. with fun stories and songs in the Burlington County Library Auditorium. Or step into the 1920s and help Newt Scamander locate his missing magical creatures during the Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them scavenger hunt at Pemberton Library. Fun for the whole family, the event is available every day in October. And be sure to mark your calendar for our 100th Anniversary Concert with Turtle Dance Music  on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 11:30 a.m., also in the Burlington County Library Auditorium. Sponsored by the Friends of the Burlington County Library Inc, the music, bubble and comedy show is suitable for all ages. Please remember that masks are required to enter our buildings and registration for some programs may be necessary. For more information about all our upcoming anniversary events, please check our online events calendar.

Plus, later this month we’ll be announcing a special concert event on October 2 at the Burlington County Library. The concert celebration will be hosted by the Burlington County Library System Foundation and the Burlington County Library Commission to commemorate this milestone anniversary. Stay tuned!

We're excited to celebrate our long history of service with you, and we look forward to sharing even more amazing milestones in the future. Here's to another 100 years of progress!
