2023

2023 represented another year of accomplishment at BCLS and we are delighted to note that expanding our digital offerings remained a top priority. We also placed a greater emphasis on the power of play by providing more opportunities for discovery and exploration throughout the system, including adding new STEM Carts, and Activity Stations for children to enjoy. Ever mindful of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility, we also continued to focus on the customer experience last year by finding new ways to ensure that everyone who visits our libraries feels welcome.
2022

In this report, you'll learn more about our new Mobile Learning Lab, our increasingly popular Device Lending Program, and the new ways we have found to connect readers to the books they love. You’ll also read about some of the fascinating programs and special events that drew visitors to our libraries last year, as well as the steps we took to make them feel welcomed and valued.
2021

In 2021, BCLS reached an impressive milestone - our 100th anniversary! Throughout the year, we shared treasured photos and articles on the BCLS website and social media, and in October, we held a special anniversary event that filled the library auditorium with music from the 1920s. Of course, 2021 was not without its challenges. But while we continued to grapple with a lingering pandemic, we found new and innovative ways to adapt.
2020

In 2020, BCLS, along with the rest of the world, faced extraordinary, unprecedented challenges. Within this report, you’ll discover all the innovative ways we were able to reach out and serve during the tumultuous year. It was a year like no other, but bolstered by teamwork, creativity and determination, BCLS continued to fulfill its important mission.

BCLS continued to invest in its public spaces in 2019, tackling upgrades and renovations designed to better meet the needs of today’s library users.

2018 was a very exciting one for BCLS! We took a closer look at our internal operations: how we better work together, how we can better serve the residents of Burlington County and how we can continue to make the library a vital part of the community.
