Meet Carlye

Hi, my name is Carlye and I'm a graphic designer for the Burlington County Library System! When I came to BCLS in 2018, I had no idea how much of an impact my work would have. My job gives me the opportunity to serve the community with graphics that have a purpose - to inform and educate locals of all the wonderful things the library and Burlington County have to offer. If you've seen episodes of Virtual Storytime, visited our StoryWalk®, or liked something we've posted to Instagram, you've probably seen some of my work!

I jokingly call myself a professional keyboard clacker, but I studied Graphic Design and Curatorial Studies at Moore College of Art & Design. Everyday, I'm able to put these skills to practical use developing advertising materials that speak to the people we serve. What seem like subtle changes to a poster might make all the difference in how it draws your attention. 👀

My favorite thing about the library is being able to participate in a special place in our community. The library can be useful for anyone and welcomes everyone! The services, programs, technology, and materials the library provides benefits patrons from all walks of life. Working to enrich, educate and assist my neighbors is a privilege, and I'm extremely lucky to be a part of it!
