There were some excellent movies this year, many of which were based on true stories. These true stories were often chronicled in books by the people who experienced the adventures firsthand. Besides memoirs, there was one important fictional classic that was turned into a film. I may be biased (full disclosure: I am a librarian), but you know it's true: the book is always better. Check 'em out!
