Want to know more about the Lenape Indians, cranberry farming or historic
towns in the Pine Barrens? These and other Pinelands related topics come
alive with the presentations that volunteer speakers make for your group
or organization. The present ers listed in the directory have extensive
speaking experience and are knowledgeable about a variety of Pinelands
related topics. They are of invaluable assistance in helping the Commission
staff respond to your speaking requests.
You may contact the speaker of your choice directly either by letter
or telephone. Please give each speaker at least three weeks notice prior
to a presentation. When possible, select a speaker who lives in your
county or an adjacent county.
Some speakers require a fee. Arrangements for an honorarium and/or
travel expenses should be made directly between you and the speaker.

Additional information: Albertson presents programs of traditional folk songs,
ballads, and folk tales that include the Jersey Devil, Captain Kidd and Sammy
Giberson, the legendary Pinelands fiddler. Audiences are encouraged to participate

material and characterizations. Currently, Albertson is a music coordinator
of many New Jersey folk music programs.

Additional information: Cresson is a lithic technologist and consultant. As
a practicing archaeologist, he specializes in Coastal Plain and mid-Atlantic
prehistory. His land use presentations focus on the distribution of prehistoric

tool procurement and processing activities (with demonstrations of tool manufacture)

Additional information: Flynn, a retired high school teacher, has lectured
on the Lenape Indians since 1964. She specializes in the daily life of the
Lenape pre-contact with European settlers. Her student programs can include
dancing and hands-on activi ties featuring Lenape "tools" such as a bow-drill,
animal skins, and a corn pounder. Specific topics can be arranged for adult
groups.

Fishes Association, Gebhardt specializes in the study of Pinelands fishes, "the

of fish have appeared on the covers and pages of national magazines. His Pinelands
fishes program includes many scenic photos.
