It’s time to celebrate your library!

This year, National Library Week takes place from April 8 to April 14 and BCLS invites everyone to join in the festivities.

Initiated in 1958 and sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country, National Library Week is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians. The 2018 theme is “Libraries Lead,” and BCLS encourages library lovers everywhere to join in the festivities. Follow BCLS on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as we celebrate everything from our wonderful library staff to the Mobile Library, share highlights from the State of America's Libraries Report and more.

On April 12, the Burlington County Library System Foundation will hold a special fundraising event at Uno Pizzeria and Grill on Route 73 South in Maple Shade. Dine in or order takeout and the restaurant will donate up to 20 percent of the tab to the foundation. BCLSF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that seeks private financial support to purchase equipment and pay for structural improvements to BCLS locations.

BCLS also invites residents to take a few moments to explore the many volunteer opportunities available around the system, or to join a Friends group to help support libraries through book sales and other activities.

Enjoy your library and thanks for your support!
