Nov. 16 Fundraiser Benefits Library Auditorium Performances

The Friends of the Burlington County Library, Inc. will host the First Annual After-Hours Wine and Cheese Party at the County Library in Westampton on November 16 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Guests age 21 and up are invited to sip wine and enjoy a special concert by veteran musician Frank Kielb, who will perform songs by legendary artists from 1960 to 2011. Tickets cost $20 per person and include a complementary glass of wine and admission to the concert that will be held inside the library’s new 250-seat auditorium. A cash bar will also be available.

“The Friends have done a phenomenal job over the years of raising funds for library programs and improvements,” said Freeholder Leah Arter.  “The wine and cheese party is a new venture for them, but I’m confident it will be an enjoyable and successful event.  Best of all, it gives us another opportunity to show off the library’s spacious new lobby and café area.”

All proceeds from the event benefit future library auditorium performances.

“The After-Hours Wine and Cheese Party is a good fundraising opportunity being sponsored by the Friends,” said President Joan Milby. “It is a chance for everyone to have a look at our newly-renovated library and to speak to library staff and members of the Friends about all the information and programs the library provides. It is also a good way to socialize and to meet new people.”

Over the years, the Friends group has worked tirelessly to raise funds to help purchase items and sponsor special events that may not be covered in the regular library budget, including furniture, summer reading programs, summer concerts and more.

Tickets to the library’s First Annual Wine and Cheese Party are available at the County Library on 5 Pioneer Boulevard in Westampton and the branch facilities in Bordentown, Cinnaminson, Evesham, Maple Shade, Pemberton, Medford and Riverton. Cash, check and charge card accepted.

“The Friends invite you to join us for an entertaining evening and to help us support the library,” Milby said.
