Maker Camp Orientation

Kids, Teen, Maker Camp

Join us at the library or online as we travel through time with retro (and contemporary) games while creating some of our own!

Every Monday at 11:00am, we have camper orientation for that week of Maker Camp. We'll reveal some of the projects we'll be working on and learn something from professional makers on the big screen! Following orientation, campers will be invited to take part in a maker activity and challenges that will test their creative thinking skills. If you have a smartphone or tablet, bring it along to take pictures and share the fun online with friends, family and the maker community!

Comic vs. Movie

Adult, Kids, Teen, Family, Maker Camp

Learn about the history of comics and where the movies get their inspiration at Comic vs. Movie! Each week, we feature a different superhero and read from an issue of a comic they appear in! Then, after a short break, we invite you to stay and watch a movie featuring that character! Today's feature is Batman. Hear a tale featuring the Dark Knight and stay for a series of interpretations of the character as we present the animated shorts collected in Gotham Knight.
