Sundays on Stage - Libby Prison Minstrels

Libby Prison Minstrels
The Libby Prison Minstrels are known for their acoustical performances of historical songs about life on the battlefield and the home-front during the Civil War era.  Named for the original Libby Prison Minstrels, a group of prisoners at the Libby Prison
in Virginia who passed the time by performing for other inmates, this ensemble of vocals, hand-held percussion instruments, mandolin, double bass, guitar, banjo, and more, have performed at many notable Civil War sites.
