Children are welcome to practice their reading skills and make new furry friends by reading aloud to registered therapy dogs from the volunteer group Happy Tails.   These dogs love to hear a good story, and reading to dogs has been shown to increase literacy skills and confidence in children.

Art Workshops for Young Adults-Intro to Comics

Attention all aspiring artists, between the ages of 16 and 22! This summer the BCLS will be offering three art class series', held over 8 weeks. You will have the opportunity to learn the basics of comics, an intro to figure drawing, and color theory. Each class runs around 2 hours.

This class will explore the Overdrive Digital Library and introduce you to the world of eBooks. Learn the difference between audiobooks and eBooks, how to search for materials, downloading, and what devices you can use them on. MOUSE SKILL is required.
