Teen Summer Reading Book Club

Teens entering PTHS in September (or anyone wanted to join in!) are invited to join us weekly for refreshments and readings of this year's PTHS required book for summer reading. By the end of the summer, we will have read and discussed the book as a group.

Knit/Crochet Club

Bring a current project or starting learning how to knit or crochet. Beginners: please bring a crochet hook or knitting needles and learn basic stitches to get started on a project. Practice yarn is provided for beginners. Program is open to ages 7 & up. Registration is not required.

Summer Family Film Festival - "Dolphin Tale"

Inspired by the true story of a dolphin, Winter, who loses her tail after she is rescued from a crab trap. A young boy befriends her and his belief that she will be able to swim normally if she had a prosthetic tail convinces a pioneering doctor to create a unique prosthetic attachment to restore the dolphin’s ability to swim.

Library Iron Chef: Edible Architecture

Competitors will be given a picture showing famous landmarks and will have 30 minutes to make it out of food. There will be two rounds, each with a different structure and secret ingredient. The dishes will be judged on taste, presentation, and originality.
