Spend the evening with Virtua’s Visiting Paws Program and learn about animal-assisted activities. See if your dog has what it takes to become a certified therapy dog. The presenters for the evening will be Janice Campbell and Andrea Hering from Therapy Dogs Inc.
Meet a therapy dog and learn about necessary training and handling procedures. Also see testing demonstrations and find out where you and your dog can volunteer.
If you are a certified handler come and share your experience and interactions as a therapy dog team.

Virtua’s Visiting Paws Program is an animal-assisted activities program where certified handler/dog teams visit the patients on our patient care floors.  These friendly visits offer added comfort to the patients in our hospitals.

Spend the evening with Virtua’s Visiting Paws Program as we welcome Barbara Kahn of Wonder Dogs to discuss, “Raising a WonderDog: How a good relationship creates a great dog.”

If you are frustrated in dealing with your dog’s unwanted behaviors and not sure where to turn or just want to improve your relationship with an already good dog, spend some time with us and learn force free methods to produce a well-mannered pet. We will discuss various aspects of selecting, raising and training your dog and answer many of the questions and concerns you may have about these important issues.

Barbara Kahn of Wonder Dogs in Berlin, South Jersey’s Ultimate Canine Activity Center has dedicated more than 4 decades to helping owners raise WonderDogs of their own.

Spend the evening with Virtua’s Visiting Paws Program as we discuss Nutrition for Wellness: Pets are what they eat too!!

What your pet eats can greatly impact their health.  Join Dr. Lisa with HousePaws Mobile Veterinary Service in an interactive discussion about the value of good nutrition for a pet.  We will be discussing food marketing, reading labels, as well as traditional and alternative methods of feeding.  We welcome you to bring your pet’s own food labels and lots of questions.
