After many years of being "off limits" to Americans, Cuba has finally opened its borders to United States travelers through a limited "People to People" cultural program sponsored by specially licensed travel agencies.  Joe  Laufer,  Burlington County Historian, is currently organizing a trip to Cuba.  But there are other alternatives to consider.  Joe has long championed Puerto Rico as the "travel pearl of the Caribbean"  and the best kept travel secret and most misunderstood travel destination in the region - but there are secrets to getting the most out of Puerto Rico.  Finally, Costa Rica is a popular Central American destination worthy of consideration.  Joe will explore with you these three destinations and provide insights to help you make an intelligent travel decision based on your personal preferences.
