Come learn interesting facts about the diamondback terrapin, the only brackish water turtle found in New Jersey, a turtle whose environment is delicate and of concern, a turtle who can swim and run very fast, but not fast enough to outrun the toxins flowing into the Barnegat Bay from our local watersheds.

Discover the biology, ecology, and conservation status of the diamondback terrapin, a unique and very important species of turtle in New Jersey. Come for an exciting presentation and terrapin related displays conducted by our newest County Park Naturalist, Kate Szostak. If you are interested in attending this lecture, please call (609) 265-5858 with your name, phone number, and number attending to register.
