This presentation provides the science behind the brain’s inability to multitask as well as application to real-life, relevant situations. While it isn’t something people often think about, multitasking is something that most people believe they can do and is an encouraged skill in our busy, full-schedule American lives. The presenter's research proves that humans cannot, in fact, multitask, and attempts to do so may adulterate work and school lives as well as cause mental stress on the brain.
This program will be presented by Brinda Patel, a local student from Westampton Middle School, on research she conducted for ROGATE (Research Opportunities in Gifted and Talented Education).
