Mark Twain’s Traveling Theatre presents its newest production, Mark Twain Twenty/Twenty!
The infamous Mark Twain returns to campaign for the office of President of the United States during the 2020 election. In a battle of wit, Mark takes unerring aim at his unarmed (witless) political opponents. The candidate aims to appeal to the 100 million Americans that did not vote in the previous presidential election. His political base, The Unreliables (as he fondly calls them), are certain to put him over the top (if they show up to vote). After all “Hain't we got all the fools in town on our side? And ain't that a big enough majority in any town?”
Are you tired of grand promises and feeble returns? Join Twain’s Army and show up at his next campaign rally. Remember, “You could do a lot worse”!
About the performer:
Rick Bonnette has been publicly performing as Mark Twain for the past few years. A full time obsession (but not his profession), Mark Twain remains a passion project of his that is near and dear to his heart, along with being the reason behind forming Mark Twain’s Traveling Theatre. Despite career changes and family obligations, Rick has always made time for his various projects. Whether it be, creating stain glass windows, learning to sail, inventing products for soccer fans like himself or writing plays, Rick continues in his pursuit of left brain-right brain balance.
