During the 19th century it took weeks to prepare for Christmas – cooking, baking, and gifts to buy or make. There was excitement in the air thinking about decorating the home and Christmas tree. Before store bought glass ornaments the tree was decorated with fruit, toys, small gifts, and homemade decorations. Today we will sip on tea and make an old time decoration or two for your Christmas tree.

Note: Some supplies will be available. Please bring scissors, a glue stick, a stapler, and any fancy items (feathers, sequins, fancy paper, old Christmas cards, etc.) that you might want to use.

Refreshments will be provided after the presentation.
