"The Life and Times of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a soul-stirring multimedia presentation performed by noted actor and orator Kevin Q. Jackson and The Jackson Family Players. This production journeys from Dr. King’s childhood years through his adolescence, education, courtship and marriage to Coretta Scott King, and lands right in the middle of the Civil Rights Movement. There are insights into Dr. King’s personal life that have rarely been visited: childhood memories and emotion filled victories. The show includes rarely performed speeches as well as the famous I Have a Dream, Drum Major Instinct, and Promised Land speeches. It intertwines the music of the times with the passion, emotion, and spirit of the era. Most importantly, it shows the human side of Dr. King as well as his greatness." - Kevin Q. Jackson
