Robert Mills, America's first native-born and trained architect, designed the Burlington County Prison in 1808. This was the most modern prison at the time, being one of the first to focus on rehabilitation. In the following years, Mills went on to become the US Federal Architect under President Andrew Jackson. Discover the many buildings and monuments that Mills designed, most of which are still in use today, the innovations he developed and why Robert Mills should be a household name even today.
