A preview sale offered to members of the Friends group only will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Become a Friends’ member at the door for $15 per person, $20 per family, or $10 per senior or senior family.)
Once again, shoppers will find more than 5,000 gently-used books for sale, both fiction and non-fiction, all organized by category. Most books will cost 50 cents to $1 each, and thanks to an influx of recent library donations, the majority, including nearly all of the children’s books, are being made available for the first time. There will be books about cooking, business, hobbies, crafts, biographies, music, self-help, religion, science and math, art, travel, science fiction, history and more. There also will be discounted coffee table, art, and oversized books, as well as special holiday books available.
In addition, shoppers will be able to browse a nice selection of music CDs for $1 each, movie DVDs and audio books for $2 each, and good-condition comic books, most is plastic covers, for $1 each.
