Starting on November 1st, 2013, writers participating in the NaNoWriMo challenge will be furiously pounding their keyboards as they attempt to write an original novel of 50,000 within 30 days. Why? Because November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo, the world’s largest writing event and nonprofit literary crusade. Participants pledge to write 50,000 words in a month, starting from scratch and reaching “The End” by November 30. There are no judges, no prizes, and entries are deleted from the server before anyone even reads them.
Want to join in on the fun? Sign up for our writing workshops! You don’t have to be participating in NaNoWriMo, but if you’re interested in learning more about how to get published, this is a great way to start. Our second workshop in this series will cover Two Fiction Genres: Cozy Mysteries & Inspirational Women’s Fiction: Essential Elements of Each: Two Fiction Genres Romance & Fantasy: Essential Elements of Each: Romance and Fantasy are wildly popular genres in the consumer book market.
