The video “Green Builders”, a PBS Exclusive, is an overview of some unique projects that have occurred in New Jersey over the last decade. It presents a survey of several important and interesting projects undertaken by creative architects in New Jersey as well as the philosophical, psychological, and sociological underpinnings of the “green building”  movement .  In many respects,  “Green Builders” is a revolutionary video which has its feet firmly planted in the future.

The presentation of the video “Green Builders” will be followed by a panel discussion led by:

-         Regan Young of Regan Young England Butera Architects of Mount Holly

-         Kent Pipes, President and CEO of Affordable Homes Group and

-         The College of New Jersey Bonner Students who helped Mount Holly to successfully achieve Bronze Level certification in the Sustainable New Jersey Program funded by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.

The Mount Holly Green Team which was established by Mount Holly Town Council in 2011 is the sponsor of this video presentation and discussion. The Green Team’s mission is to preserve Mount Holly’s unique natural resources for the enjoyment of local residents and to work towards creating an environmentally sustainable community that will benefit the residents and businesses of Mount Holly by raising community awareness through education, engaging citizen volunteers and maintaining fiscal responsibility.  The Green Team recently reached a milestone by achieving a Sustainable Jersey Bronze Certification.
