Post-It Art Show Pemberton

For Summer Reading this year, we're hosting a Post-It Art Show until the end of August for kids and teens participating in the Summer Reading Program! Get creative and use a Post-It as your canvas! Enter your Post-It masterpiece into our Art Show anytime at the Children's Desk. Don't have a Post-It? No problem! Pick one up at the Children's Desk! Entry forms and Post-Its will be available starting Monday, June 23rd. Entries will be accepted anytime beginning June 23rd. Kids Art Showcase, Ages 5 - 12 Cinnaminson

You are the artist! If you like to draw or paint, share your talent by displaying your artwork at the library. You will receive a prize at the end of the summer.

 
Reader's Choice, Ages 4 - 14 Cinnaminson

Read anything good lately? Share your favorite books with us by filling out a Reader's Choice form and earn a prize from our prize box. Teen volunteers will be available to assist you.

 
Fizz, Boom, Read Scavenger Hunt Florence

1st Annual Florence Township Library Scavenger Hunt. All ages are welcome. Community wide participation, clues available weekly, prizes awarded. The first set of clues will be available on July 3. Register at the circulation desk.

 
Thaumatrope Make-n-Take Craft Pemberton

All ages are invited to drop in anytime during library open hours to make your own optical illusion craft in the Children's Area from July 14th-18th! No registration necessary. Craft materials will be available until supplies last.

Ever wonder what it is like in the library when it is closed for the night? Drop off your stuffed animal friend to Miss Theresa at the Children's Desk anytime between 10am-5pm on Wednesday, July 16th and pick them up the next day to see what they did while they were here overnight! Children in grades PreK-3 that need reading practice will be paired with an eager teen volunteer for 30 minute sessions. Reading sessions are available at the Pemberton Library on Wednesdays between 1-3 pm & Fridays between 1-5 pm. The program will run July 2nd-August 29th, participation permitted. Decorate your own bookmark and help the library tell its story. Share your favorite library moments with us and we'll share them with the world! What was the best thing you ever checked out with your library card? What has been your favorite program this summer? We'll have bookmarks to color and design, a digital photobooth, and a whole bunch of chances to tell us what you love about your library! Teens will be encouraged to submit their stories and creations to the Tell Us Your Story Contest. Those wishing to combine previously created content with a new video project will learn the basics of doing so.  All Ages

The murder of Mrs. Mary Hamilton of Bordentown by Joel Clough in 1833 quickly became the most followed story of the day. Clough murdered Mrs. Hamilton in a rage fueled by unrequited love. His trial and execution were most sensational, attracting thousands of visitors. In the end, Joel Clough was buried in the courtyard of the Burlington County Prison and is said to still remain there. Come hear the story of Joel Clough and Mrs. Mary Hamilton's relationship, the crime, and aftermath as related through Clough's own confession.
