“This exhibit of African American History is being presented by Gloria Irby, Glyndora Xing and Marossa Davis as our gift to the community.

This year’s exhibit features facts, artifacts, visual displays and books highlighting the many contributions made by our ancestors from Africa to our early history through the 50’s to the present. Local residents are celebrated as well.”  –   Marossa Davis

The AARP Tax-Aide Program offers FREE tax help for taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those age 60 and over.
Taxpayers need to bring all appropriate documents with them to the library.

Dr Clara Whaley Perkins has a PhD from Temple University and lives in Philadelphia. She is a practicing psychologist who specializes in women's issues concerning body image.  She interviewed survivors of the 1st Civil War in Liberia and was asked to participate in the repatriation of teenagers after the war ended.  She has traveled widely throughout Africa and is the author of the novel, Iron Butterfly.
