The bookmobile will not be making deliveries and pickups today, February 25, due to the inclement weather.

Bookmobile program provides mobile library services to many parts of Burlington County. A regular Burlington County Library card is all you need to use the Bookmobile. You may register for a card on the Bookmobile if you do not already have one.

The "library on wheels" carries over 4,000 titles including books in regular print and large print, children's books, audio books, DVDs, videos, and CDs. Eligible residents of the county are invited to use the bookmobile, which is equipped with a lift to accommodate wheelchairs.

Schedules are issued twice a year, in April and October. Scheduled stops may be expanded or discontinued in the next schedule, according to customer usage.

BORROWING GUIDELINES

All residents of Burlington County, except for the exempt areas -- Moorestown, Mt. Laurel & Willingboro, whose residents do not pay county library taxes -- are eligible for a Burlington County Library borrower's card. Residents from the exempt areas can obtain a non-resident card for a fee of $50.00 per year.

A borrower's card is issued with the proper identification. This card may be used on the Bookmobile, at the Headquarters' Library, 5 Pioneer Boulevard, Westampton, or at any of the seven branches.
A fee of $2.00 will be charged for the replacement of a lost borrower's card.

BORROWING PROCEDURES

• Books: Loan period is 4 weeks with one 2 week renewal.
  Exceptions: 2 weeks for reserve books, 3 weeks for Interlibrary Loan materials. Limitations: Thirty-five items per card -- total for the whole library system.
• Audio-tapes, CDs and Books on CD or tape: Loan period is 2 weeks with one 2 week renewal.
• DVDs and videotapes: loan period is 2 weeks
  Limitations: a total of 5 DVDs and videotapes combined
  

RESERVATIONS

Most materials available for circulation can be provided via the Bookmobile. Customers may submit a written request to the staff or place their own holds remotely, using Ipac. If the materials cannot be obtained in the Burlington County Library System, the library will try to borrow it from another library. There is a $1.00 fee for these Interlibrary Loan transactions. Customers will be notified by phone when the requested item is available for pickup.
