May is "Get Caught Reading Month"! This is a nationwide campaign to remind people of all ages how much it is to read! Here at the Pinelands Branch, we have been on the lookout to catch people reading all month long. If we catch you reading, you might even get a little prize.

Book Cover Bingo at Pinelands Library
Kids at the Pinelands Library enjoyed many rounds of Book Cover Bingo yesterday. We played some fun variations on the traditional game, including "blackout" which is when you have to cover your entire bingo board to win!

Paws to Read
Yesterday, kids at the Pinelands Branch got to practice their reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to Ocho, a registered therapy dog. Ocho is a lovable 3 year old German Shepherd and he loves to hear a good story.
Halloween Postponed until Monday for NJ
In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Governor Christie signed an executive order this afternoon postponing Halloween until Monday for all of New Jersey.

8th Annual Taste of Medford
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, you don't have to look any farther than Historic Kirby's Mill. That will be the site of the 8th Annual Taste of Medford on Saturday, September 8th from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Tours of Kirby's Mill
Step into America's past by visiting Kirby's Mill, which first began operating in 1778. Tours are hosted by the Medford Historical Society every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
