May is National Inventors Month. During this time the innovative individuals that improved our lives with their creative inventions are celebrated! Teachers, this would be a fun, interesting topic to conclude the school year.
May is "Get Caught Reading Month"! This is a nationwide campaign to remind people of all ages how much it is to read! Here at the Pinelands Branch, we have been on the lookout to catch people reading all month long. If we catch you reading, you might even get a little prize. Last week, we caught sisters Ashley & Lily reading in the children's room.
Splish, splash I was taking a bath... at the library! Children ages 3-4 had fun at our bathtime storytime today. We read stories about bathtubs, bubbles and a bear who wouldn't take a bath! We ended our storytime by dancing to some great bath songs with scarves and making music with rhythm sticks & egg shakers
