Small Study Rooms:
The small study rooms, located in the Adult Services area behind the Reference Desk, can be reserved for a maximum of 4 hours per day, two times per week, up to one month in advance. When not occupied, the rooms are available for walk-in use (sign in at the adult reference desk first).  Volunteer and school-assigned tutors may use the rooms for tutoring purposes.

The rooms cannot be used for for-profit activities.

If the reserver has not arrived within the first 15 minutes of the reservation, the room will become available to other customers.

  • Maximum occupancy may not be exceeded. Room 1: 4 persons;  Room 2: 6 persons.
  • No signs may be posted.
  • Food and uncovered beverages are prohibited in the rooms.
  • Rooms must be vacated by the library’s closing time.

In the event of an unexpected library closing, those concerned will be notified. The library requests notification if the reserved space is not going to be used.

Meeting Rooms at Branch Libraries

Use of meeting rooms in branch libraries may vary. The decision to open space to community groups will be determined by the Branch Manager in consultation with the Library Director and Library Commission, based on the branch’s schedule of library programs and library-sponsored programs. Reservation forms are available from each branch.

Use by organizations of Headquarters or branch meeting space is considered a public accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and therefore the organization is responsible for providing auxiliary aids and services in compliance with the ADA.
